Part 1- Introduction
The aim of my project is to express what inspired my
aspirations to make music, and why I enjoy creating HipHop music like Travis
Scott or Playboi Carti as a hobby. My original aspirations to make this kind of
music came from my interests in collecting vinyl copies of my favourite albums
during the beginning of the pandemic. The story will begin with listening to
one of my favourite albums on vinyl within my bedroom. This will show my love
for music and explain why I wanted to start creating my own music. Along with
this, the first instrument that I bought was a midi keyboard that I originally
stated using to make beats. In the photography and audio, I will cover how this
device aloud me to begin learning how to make music better. Plus, I will also include
excerpts of me using the equipment with my audio piece.
Plus, within my story, I want to show how I have been
working in my room on my own, slowly improving my craft. Within the audio
section, I will include a finished song that I had created after being inspired
by Travis Scott’s Astro world album (which will be the album focussed heavily
on in my story) The images following this in my story will show how I made this
song in my room and how releasing it on streaming platforms effected how I
would produce music in the future. I want to show how artists from all genres
create music and how they do that with such a low budget. Hence why I have
interviewed a close friend, Kai, who is interested in starting a band. During the
audio piece I will cover his inspiration such as ““, and how he believes that
can be achieved, ““. Overall, I want to prove with my story how I was inspired
by my favourite artists to work hard to create music that targets a similar
audience to the artists I listen to.
